The Longjing area is the heart of Hangzhou's tea country. Hillsides are covered with terraced tea plantations, villages serve fresh-picked Longjing tea, and the valleys are threaded with walking paths that connect tea fields, bamboo groves, and shaded stream beds. The area includes Longjing Village, the famous Nine Creeks valley, Meijiawu tea village, and sections of the broader tea-field trail network. It is one of the most scenic areas for hiking in Hangzhou and most trails are reachable without a car.
