We collect minimal, anonymised usage data through two analytics tools:
Cloudflare Web Analytics — automatically enabled by Cloudflare's edge network. Collects page URLs visited, browser type and device category, approximate country, and referrer information.
Umami Cloud — a privacy-preserving analytics script loaded only in production. Collects page views and session duration, browser type and operating system, screen size, and country (derived from IP, anonymised).
Neither tool stores IP addresses, sets persistent cookies, or collects personally identifiable information. No user registration, comments, or forms are present on this site.
How we use this data
The data helps us understand which trail guides are most useful to visitors, how visitors find the site, and which devices to optimise for. We do not sell, share, or transfer this data for advertising or profiling.
Cookies
This site does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any persistent client-side storage for analytics. The Umami script operates without cookies. Cloudflare may set essential security and caching cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to function.

Since we do not collect personally identifiable information, these rights are effectively satisfied by the anonymised nature of our data collection. Data retention
Anonymised analytics data is retained for up to 6 months (Umami Cloud Hobby plan). Cloudflare Web Analytics retains aggregated data at the edge level. Neither retention period stores individual-level data.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the effective date at the top will be updated. Significant changes will be announced on the site.
