Yangpu (杨浦) is Shanghai's north-eastern district, home to the city's only forest-themed national park: Gongqing Forest Park, about 131 ha of reclaimed riverside woodland with 300,000-plus trees, a vintage forest train, seasonal flower shows and flat lakeside loops. The district's Huangpu bank is being stitched into the city's riverside greenway network, making Yangpu a place for flat, family-friendly walking and cycling rather than hills. Metro Lines 8, 10 and 12 plus direct buses reach the park and the riverfront.
