The quietest, most countrified of Shanghai's water towns — Fengjing's covered corridors, three bridges and art concentration (cartoons, painters' houses, farmer painting) at the Jinshan–Zhejiang border, reached by the 枫梅线 bus or the 金山北站 high-speed rail.

Fengjing (枫泾) is the Wu-Yue water town at Shanghai's far southwest — the Jinshan district's corner at the Zhejiang border, about 60 km from the city centre and reported the quietest, most countrified of the water-town tier. The town's streets are free to walk: the covered corridors (枫溪长廊 and 生产街长廊) run beside the town canal, the three bridges (清风桥、竹行桥、北丰桥) cross it at the 三桥 square, and an unlikely concentration of art fills the venues — the Ding Cong cartoon museum, the Cheng Shifa ancestral house and the Jinshan farmer-painting brand. The area's food culture is the 枫泾丁蹄 braised trotter, first of the 枫泾四宝. Access is the practical note: the 枫梅线 bus from 莲花路站 (Line 1) or the 沪杭高铁 to 金山北站 plus the 枫泾七路 bus — the 金山铁路 from 上海南站 is not recommended.
